As you will be aware the Club normally has its AGM in February, however the Accountants who audit the Clubs Accounts do this work free of charge. The work they do is extremely through and takes a considerable amount of time. Due to the fact that the work load on accountants created by the Inland Revenue deadline of the 31st of January, coupled with our year end being 30th November, the books are unable to be worked on until early February. We are currently reviewing the possibility in changing are year end to the end of October to see whether this could facilitate an earlier AGM. We shall keep you informed of the situation. Going to port Douglas tomorrow (where Steve Irwin croaked) so may not be swimming that much.
