Ok got to the SCG and guess what? it rained! weather has been really strange including hailstones on xmas day,we have had 5 days when ut didn’t rain at all, this in the middle of the worst drought ever in Australia. Quite frankly the first days play was some of the dullest cricket I have ever seen. p\Pieterson 41 with 1 boundary, bell played well but so cautious . The SCG is a lovely ground with alovely old pavillion but as in MCG no scoreboard, just flashes up on the big screen . We are now in Singapore where we arrived in a storm(anyone seeing a pattern here?) we’ll be back at the weekend. Just to namedrop finally on our last night in Sydney we booked a posh restaurant and we’re on the next table to Richard Branson,Ian Botham and Michael Holding, I heard someone say “Whose that next to Tommy Sharrock?”

Ok arrived at sydney finally goit some good weather and the slap head is burnt . Sydney a fabulous place much more happening than other cities. Even the Aussies are feeling sorry for us now and wishing us luck at the SCG. many rumours over here re pieterson not being up for it and Flintoff leading the worst ever team to visit these shores , I have tickets for day one of Sydney and I’ll try to let you know how it all goes.

Well a lifetime ambition fulfilled i have watched a test match from start to finish, pity it was  only 3 days and more  of a pity that E ngland put up such a poor show. definite vibes of no team ethic flintoff didn.t speak to Strauss or Collingwood the whole game,Pieterson body language was extremely poor, hands in pockets not chasing hard ect. As Liz said OCC provides more entertainment and certainly more effort. Having said that a fabulous stadium and made very welcome by all aussies weather terrible, freezing cold forcing even me indoors to watch the kast 3 wickets on the telly at the stadium. We’re having a great time using plenty of Aussie wine to ease the pain of the cricket . see you all too soon!

Just returned from port Douglas in one piece went to the barrier reef and the rainforest. Massive news over here about Warne going front page of every newspaper and top story on the TV. Will Pietersen smack one up in the air to be number700? I wouldn’t be surprised.. Off to Melbourne next and to the MCG will let you know were are in the ground when I know.
